Sourcing Hacks for Recruiters

A virtual encyclopedia of sourcing tricks and search techniques

12:00 noon ET (9:00 AM PT) - 60 min. 12:00 noon ET (9:00 AM PT) - 60 min.

Dear Fellow Recruiter:

Need to find candidates? LinkedIn is the go-to resource for most recruiters. But LinkedIn has two glaring limitations:

1. Too much competition. With millions of subscribers, you’re often fighting over the same candidates.
2. Search limitations. You can’t find good people if they have shallow profiles. Or no profile at all.

I recently failed in a search assignment, primarily because of these issues. Had I not relied solely on LinkedIn, things may have turned out differently. Later, I learned that recruiters who spend the majority of their time on LinkedIn are missing out on 90 percent of the online information about professionals.

If you’d like to find talent from new, overlooked or unconventional sources, the data-mining specialists at the Brain Gain Recruiting can show you how. They’ve figured out a way to find candidates without using LinkedIn as their primary resource. And in the interactive two-part program I’m proud to host, they’ll share their knowledge with you. You’ll learn:

* A new approach to searching for candidates on their terms;
* How to leverage function-specific social sites, including Github, Doximity and ResearchGate; and
* New ways to explore other data-rich resources, such as meetup and event sites, resume sites, professional associations, and more.

Plus, you’ll learn the most up-to-date x-ray techniques and lookup tools to find candidates and gather contact information. And as an added bonus, you’ll receive free tools, tips and search strings to help you be more productive—and make more placements! Here’s a summary of what you’ll receive and how the program is structured:
